Bassem Mansour is a Co-CEO, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Cleveland-based private equity firm Resilience Capital Partners. Bassem is involved in all aspects of the Firm’s operations including investment decisions and portfolio company oversight, and serves on the Board of Directors of numerous Resilience portfolio companies.

Since 1994, he has been involved in principal investing, leveraged buyouts, Chapter 11 reorganizations, out-of-court restructurings, and other mergers and acquisitions. Prior to founding Resilience in 2001, Bassem was an investment banker with McDonald Investments.

Resilience’s value oriented investment strategy focuses on acquiring companies with solid business prospects in a wide variety of special situations including restructurings, underperformers, corporate divestitures, turnarounds and orphan public companies. Since its inception in 2001, Resilience has invested in 27 companies with total revenue in excess of $2.5 billion and over 5,000 employees.

Bassem is a member of several professional organizations and is a frequent speaker on acquiring underperforming companies and distressed investing. In addition, he serves on the Board of Trustees of the Hathaway Brown School, the Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland, the Western Reserve Land Conservancy, and the Visiting Committee of the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University.

Bassem received a Master of Business Administration from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Dayton. He resides in Hunting Valley, Ohio with his wife and three daughters.
